Contest fees
The rake is taken from the pot only when someone wins, and bigger stakes pay less. Refunds and ties are free.
bandforband.fun earns a fee (the rake) on the pot of a contest, and only when there is a winner. A refunded, cancelled or tied contest costs nothing: everyone gets their full stake back.
Rake tiers
The tier is set by the stake per seat when the contest is created, from 5% on small stakes down to 1% from $500.00 per seat.

The rake is capped by the wagers program: the settler cannot take more than the tier of the contest, whatever the backend asks for. See Settlement.
Example
Two players join a duel with the same stake. The pot is twice the stake. When one of them wins, settlement sends the tier's rake to the treasury, and the rest of the pot is paid from the escrow into the winner's vault right after.
Discounts
- VIP pays 20% less rake, so the lowest possible rate is 0.8%. The discount applies when every winner of the contest is VIP.
- Referred players pay 10% less rake on their first 10 contests. See Referrals.
Discounts stack by multiplying, and the result is rounded down, in your favor.
Backing fee
When backing is enabled, a 3% fee is taken from the losing backers' pool, and only when backers of the winner are paid.
